Organic A2 Whole Milk Powder

More than 99% of β - casein in A2 organic milk powder is A2 β - casein. β - casein is a major casein, accounting for about 30% of the total milk protein [1], which is mainly manifested in two gene variants: type A1 and type A2. The former is the product of gene mutation, while the latter is considered to be the original β - casein genotype. β - casein is composed of 209 amino acids. Because of the difference of gene, A1 or A2, the difference is the 67th amino acid in the protein chain.(Fig. 1)




image.pngThe slight difference in the structure of the two β - caseins means that they are also absorbed differently. Through the action of digestive enzymes, A1 β - casein may produce β - casein-7 (bcm-7) (Fig. 2), an exogenous opioid peptide [2][3][4][5]. On the contrary, in the case of normal intestinal absorption [3] [4] [5] [6], the release of bcm-7 from A2 β - casein may be very small, and it is likely that the release will be reduced to the lowest level, because A2 β - casein "(66) is different image.png Leucine - (67) proline bond is not easy to enzymolysis or the probability of occurrence is very low[2].




Published scientific research shows that A2 Whole Milk Powder has the following effects:
